After working for over twenty-five years in the computer field, I made a major career change by enrolling in law school while continuing my regular job.  I graduated magna cum laude from law school in 2001.  I then ended my computer career and served as a federal judicial law clerk.  I then worked as an associate attorney with the Washington, DC, law firm of Terris, Pravlik & Millian, LLP, where my concentration was on the representation of plaintiffs in employment discrimination and other civil rights litigation. I also represented clients in environmental citizen suit litigation.  I retired from full-time legal work in July 2009 and expect to do volunteer legal work for progressive causes.

This web site provides my resume and some of the academic papers I have written.  It also provides links to some of my favorite progressive web sites.

I am currently blogging at Feminist Looking Glass (FeministLookingGlass.com).

I can be reached at: mshaw@shawlegal.com.
